James W. Booe

James W. Booe, 75, of Veedersburg, passed away at his residence 12:56pm Friday May 20, 2011. He was born November 17, 1935 in Veedersburg the son of Russell W. and Emily M. (McCollum) Booe. He married Helen Lucille Keeling March 9, 1957 in Sterling, Indiana. Surviving family include, wife Helen Lucille Booe, Veedersburg; daughter, Deborah C. (Rick) Davis, Richmond, IN; brother, William “Bill” (Pat) Booe, Lehigh Acres, FL; two grandchildren, Kelly Davis & Kevin Davis and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Russell W. Booe Jr. and Robert B. Booe, two infant sisters and an infant brother. James attended Veedersburg High School and obtained his GED in 1966. He served his country for 21 years in the United States Air Force during both the Korean War and Vietnam War. He was employed as manager at All Phase Electrical Supply in Crawfordsville. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #452 in Crystal Lake, MS; Scottish Rite in Jackson, MS; and American Legion Post #288 in Veedersburg. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday May 24, 2011 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Garland Pannell officiating. Visitation is 4:00 – 8:00 pm Monday May 23, 2011 at Dickerson Funeral Home, with Masonic Service beginning at 7:45 pm. Interment at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery in Waynetown, IN with military honors.
