Elizabeth A. Nehrig

Elizabeth A. Nehrig, 75, formerly of Veedersburg, passed away 9:10 pm Tuesday December 27, 2011 at Hooverwood Nursing Home in Indianapolis, Indiana. Mrs. Nehrig was born July 13, 1936 in Danville, Illinois the daughter of Ernest and Alice (Ramsey) Ferguson. She married Glen L. “Pete” Nehrig May 28, 1954 in State Line, IN; he preceded her in death February 9, 2003. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Jewell Marie Nehrig. Surviving family include four sons, Glen (Sheila) Nehrig, Owensboro, KY; Michael Nehrig, Veedersburg, IN; Stephen (Judy)Nehrig, Oxford, IN; Brian (Barb) Nehrig, Fishers, IN; two daughters, Alice Skiles, West Lafayette, IN; Lora (Brad) Campbell, Plainfield, IN; a brother, Ray (Susan) Ferguson, Covington, IN; a sister Karen Ottenhoff, Melbourne, FL; and ten grandchildren. Elizabeth graduated from Covington High School in 1954. She was a member and Past Worthy Matron in the Order of Eastern Star at Veedersburg. She had always enjoyed traveling throughout her life, and she enjoyed watching sporting events with her favorite teams being the Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Cubs. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday December 31, 2011 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon Saturday at the funeral home and continue until 1:45 pm. Order of Eastern Star service will begin at 1:45pm Saturday.
