Leslie "Dale" Clawson

Leslie “Dale” Clawson, 78, of Veedersburg, died 1:50pm June 12, 2012 at V.A. Illiana Health Care in Danville, Illinois. Dale was born May 8, 1934 in Veedersburg the son of James A. and Stella Flo (Sheets) Clawson. He married Ester Luella Britton April 4, 1970, She preceded him in death in 1989. He is also preceded in death by seven brothers, Albert Allen Clawson, Frederick Joe Clawson, Glen Edward Clawson, James Norman Clawson, Robert J Clawson, Jerry D Clawson, and Jackie Ray Clawson. Surviving family include his daughter, Leslie Ann (Earl) Robbins, Veedersburg; a brother Bill (Tootie) Clawson, Veedersburg; and two grandchildren, William Robbins & Malaney Robbins. Dale served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed at the Fountain Foundry in Veedersburg for many years, retiring in 1997. He enjoyed his grandkids, visiting with his friends and family, and playing the lottery. Graveside service will be 11:00am (EDT) Saturday June 16, 2012 at Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg with Pastor Harold Holt officiating.
