Donald Lee Blacketer

Donald Lee Blacketer, 74, of Kingman, died 2:01 pm Thursday September 20, 2012 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was born July 25, 1938 in Kingman, Indiana the son of Pearl Edward and Mary (Hatch) Blacketer. They have preceded him in death. Surviving family include two sisters, Barbara Joanne Blacketer, Crawfordsville; Phyllis J Weed, Crawfordsville; and a nephew Bruce Weed, Veedersburg. Donald had attended grade school in Cates, IN. He had retired from Harrison Steel in Attica after 16 years of employment and attended Prairie Creek Baptist Church near Kingman. Donald loved the outdoors and enjoyed any opportunity to go fishing, he also enjoyed and collected trains and the memorabilia associated with them. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Monday September 24, 2012 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Loren Stephens officiating.
