Mabel I Jenks

Mabel I Jenks, 75, formerly of Veedersburg, died 11:20 am Wednesday December 19, 2012 at the Waters of Covington. Mrs. Jenks was born June 8, 1937 in Williamsport, IN the daughter of Daniel Lee and Gertrude May Watkins. She was married to Dewey H Jenks and he preceded her in death in 1976. Surviving family include a daughter, Betty Chavez, Marion, IN; and four grandchildren. When Mabel’s health had allowed, she loved to be outdoors in the summer hunting mushrooms and picking berries; and she spent many hours in the wintertime crocheting. Memorial service will be 2:00 pm Saturday December 22, 2012 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Paul Kent officiating. Burial will be at Cold Spring Cemetery near Veedersburg.
