Alice M Bowman

Alice M Bowman, 85, of Veedersburg, died 6:15pm Friday December 28, 2012 at I.U. Health in Lafayette, Indiana. Mrs. Bowman was born December 25, 1927 in Veedersburg the daughter of Earl R. and Theda B (Brewer) Butts. She married Lloyd M Bowman February 6, 1943 in Veedersburg; he has preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Mabel Jones. Surviving family include a brother, Dean (wife, Eloise) Butts, Carol Stream, IL; a sister, Ruth (good friend, Max Stull) Williams, Veedersburg; several nieces and nephews. Alice and her husband spent much of their lives (approx. 50 years) in Melrose Park, Illinois; they had moved back to Veedersburg after their retirement. She enjoyed being outdoors, loved to read, and enjoyed the time she spent with her nieces and nephews when they were younger. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday January 2, 2013 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon Wednesday and continue until the time of service.
