Una I. Daniel

Una I. Daniel, 92, of rural Veedersburg, passed away at her residence 3:30 am Monday August 12, 2013. Mrs Daniel was born July 13, 1921 in Cates, IN , the daughter of Fred O. and Hester (Allen) Woodrow. She married Virgil T. Daniel August 4, 1943 and he preceded her in death in 1995. She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Freeman and Forest Woodrow; and three sisters, Fredia French, Marsha Woodrow and Mary Woodrow. Surviving family include a daughter, Aleta (Michael) Conn, Covington; a son, Stephen (Cathy) Daniel, Lafayette, IN; a sister, Frances Allen, Williamsport; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Una graduated from Kingman High School in 1939. She had most recently attended New Century Church, but previously was a long time member of Cooper’s Chapel Church, where she had taught Sunday School for approx. 50 years. She was an avid reader of the Bible. Una enjoyed her family, being on the farm, and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday August 14, 2013 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Joe Dodds officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm Wednesday and continue until the time of service. Burial at Mt Hope Cemetery in Covington. Memorial contributions may be given to donor’s choice.
