Richard E. "Dick" Minick

Richard E. “Dick” Minick, 65, of Veedersburg passed away 2:19 pm Friday September 6, 2013 at St Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Dick was born September 25, 1947 in Covington, IN the son of Angus and Genevieve Minick. Surviving family include his father, Angus Minick, Stone Bluff; wife, Joni Minick, Veedersburg; son Dickie Minick, Veedersburg; daughter, Rebecca L (Chris) Obmann, Temecula, CA; 4 brothers, Harold (Sherry), Veedersburg; Gerald (Jean), Hoopeston IL; Carl (Leah Mae), Wallace; William (Connie), Veedersburg; 2 sisters, Sandra (Gerry) Henderson, Veedersburg; Helen Jumps, Rockville; 5 grandchildren, Eli Minick, Gabriella Minick, Zoey Minick, Breelin Obmann, and Brooke Obmann. He is preceded in death by his mother. Dick graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1967. He had worked his entire life as a union bricklayer and was a member of Indiana Kentucky Local #4. Memorial service will be 8:00 pm Friday September 13, 2013 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with his brother Harold Minick officiating. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Friday and continue until the time of service at 8:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help with expenses.
