Barbara E Harvey

Barbara E. Harvey, 80, formerly of Alamo, passed away 2:50 pm Tuesday December 3, 2013 at Ben Hur Nursing Home in Crawfordsville, IN. Mrs. Harvey was born December 30, 1932 in Paris. IL. The daughter of Clarence E. and Mae (Henson) Minnick. She married Vernon Lee Harvey Sr. November 23, 1952, he has preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by a brother, William Minnick, a grandson Joseph Cain Harvey, a granddaughter Faith R. Harvey and two great-grandchildren. Her surviving family include three daughters, Veronica Lynn (Tommy) Macy, Avon IN; Susan Christina (Tim) Durnil, Kingman, IN; Angela Lee (Greg) Burge, Waveland, IN; a son Vernon Lee “Bud” (Mary) Harvey Jr. Alamo IN; a brother Robert E. (Marilyn) Minnick, Hillsboro IN; a sister Eleanor Mitchell, Crawfordsville IN; 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchild. Barbara had been employed at Raybestos and Crown Cork & Seal earlier in her life. Her greatest enjoyment in life came from being with her children and grandchildren. She was known to be a mother to all who were around her. She loved to cook and sew. Visitation will be 2:00 - 6:00 PM Saturday December 7, 2013 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg. A family graveside service will be held at a later date..
