Jackie Derold “Jack” Lightle, 73, of Veedersburg, passed away 8:45 am Saturday February 15, 2014 at St Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Jack was born November 8, 1940 in Veedersburg the son of Derold and Mary (Baird) Lightle. He married Judith Dale “Judy” Moschel October 6, 1961 in Bethel Park PA. Surviving family include his mother, Mary Lightle, Veedersburg; wife Judy D. Lightle, Veedersburg; two daughters, Kelly (Mark) Mitchell, Veedersburg; and Karen (James) Robertson, Brownsburg; sister, Betty Jo (Kenneth) Canfield, Kingman; and four grandchildren, Andrew Mitchell, Trent Mitchell, Kelsey Robertson, Justin Robertson. He is preceded in death by his father. Jack graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1958, after graduation he served his country in the United States Marine Corps for 3 years. He was employed at Harrison Steel in Attica for 44 years as a cost analyst, retiring in 2005. Jack was recently baptized and was a member of the Sterling Christian Church. Over the years he enjoyed fishing, I.U. basketball, and watching TV westerns. More than anything he loved and enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren. Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday February 19, 2014 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday February 20, 2014 at Sterling Christian Church in Veedersburg with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating. Burial will follow service at Rockfield Cemetery with Military Honors provided by American Legion Post #288.
