Martha B. "Bart" Florey

Martha B. “Bart” Florey, 80, formerly of Veedersburg, passed away 7:30 pm Friday February 21, 2014 at St Anthony’s Health Care in Lafayette IN. She was born September 22, 1933 in Stone Bluff, Indiana the daughter of Ralph E. and Gertrude (Sutton) LaBaw. Surviving family includes a son, Ron (Jo Ann) Florey, Westerville, OH; a daughter, Michelle Oaks, Crawfordsville; five grandchildren, Amber Florey, Ashlee Florey, R.G. Florey, Kolleen Horton, Evan Oaks; four great-grandchildren, Addison Urban, Ashland Killion, Kayidence Horton, Kelcee Oaks; and ten nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Roger D. Florey; a sister, Carole “Cann” Hayman; three brothers, Gordon LaBaw, Lou LaBaw, and Ray LaBaw. Bart graduated from Veedersburg High School in the class of 1951. She had owned and operated the Mustang Room in Veedersburg for many years. She enjoyed watching Indiana College Basketball and figure skating. She also enjoyed collecting Teddy Bears and Snoopy. Her greatest enjoyment in life came from being with her family. Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday February 25, 2014 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday February 26, 2014 at the funeral home.
