Doris Bunnell

Doris Bunnell, 93, of Veedersburg, passed away 1:35pm Sunday August 24, 2014 at Williamsport Nursing and Rehab Center. Mrs Bunnell was born January 30, 1921 in Sterling, IN the daughter of Ora and Edith (Shoaf) Stonebraker. She was formerly married to James Bunnell, and they were blessed with one daughter, Roselyn Gossett, who resides in Veedersburg. Doris is also survived by a twin sister Dorean Stonebraker, of Williamsport; three granddaughters, April Gossett, Rachel (Scott) McMahan, Roselyn (James) Blankenship; three great grandchildren, Nathan McMahan, Larissa McMahan, and Hunter Blankenship. She is preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Gordon Stonebraker; two sisters, Margaret Bentley and Frances Ward; and a son-in-law Straudy Gossett. Doris was first and foremost a homemaker who loved to bake and enjoyed raising her daughter, she will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. After raising her daughter she was employed and retired from ATI in Danville IL. For the past 40 plus years she has lived with her twin sister Dorean in Veedersburg. Memorial service will be 1:00 pm Saturday August 30, 2014 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Burial will follow the service at Bonebrake Cemetery near Veedersburg.
