Charles Wayne Majors

Charles Wayne Majors, 85, of rural Veedersburg, passed away at his residence Friday August 29, 2014. Wayne was born July 13, 1929 in Dana, IN the son of B.C. and Alice (Walthall) Majors. He married Katha Witsman December 21, 1957 in Kingman Indiana. Surviving family include his wife Katha Majors, Veedersburg; three daughters, Rita (Steve) Quattrocchi, Indianapolis; Beth Ann Majors, at home; Susan Majors, Veedersburg; three granddaughters, Taryn Quattrocchi, Boston, MA; Trisha (Bob) Dick, Indianapolis; Katharyn Majors, Veedersburg; three brothers, John Majors, Texas; Fred Majors, Ridgefarm IL; Kenneth Majors, Kingman. Wayne graduated from Kingman High School in 1947, and attended Indiana Central College. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force stationed in Germany. He had farmed for most of his life in Fountain County. His memberships include Fountain County Arc, Arc of Indiana, Board of Directors for Child Adult Resource Services (C.A.R.S.), Veedersburg American Legion Post #288, Veedersburg United Methodist Church, and was currently attending the Kingman United Methodist Church. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday September 2, 2014 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with his brother Pastor Kenneth Majors officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home on Tuesday September 2, 2014 and continue until the time of service. Burial will follow service at Kingman Fraternal Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post #288. Memorial contributions may be given to Shawnee Center or Gideon Bibles.
