Susan E. Carver, 70, of Stone Bluff, IN passed away at her residence at 5:15am Sunday October 5, 2014. She was born March 6, 1944 in Vancouver, Washington the daughter of Eli Richard and Marie Alice (Johnson) Bentley. She married John W. Carver December 1, 1962 in Yakima, Washington and he preceded her in death April 10, 1991. Her surviving family includes four sons, Jeffrey Cary (La Donna) Carver, Hillsboro IN; Scott William Carver, Stone Bluff IN; John Rodney (Amber) Carver, Stone Bluff IN; Steven George (Jennifer) Carver, Newtown IN; one daughter, Gail E. Carver, Veedersburg IN; four sisters including a twin sister, Sally Bentley, Charleston SC; Sandy Herman, Smoky Pointe WA; Jill (Ron) Haines, Lake Stevens WA; Penny (Paul) Miller, Everett WA; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a special friend and companion of twenty years Bill High. She is preceded in death by her husband and a sister Judy Sowers. Susan graduated from Eisenhower High School 1962 in Yakima Washington. She was a member of the Danville Turtle Club. Susan enjoyed gardening and especially loved her family. She enjoyed attending their sporting events and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending her Friday’s with the ladies at Finishing Touch having her hair and nails done. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Thursday October 9, 2014 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg IN with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday October 8, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will follow service at Osborn Prairie Cemetery near Stone Bluff IN.
