Mindy L. Ricketts

Mindy L. Ricketts, 58, of Veedersburg, passed away at her residence Tuesday May 19, 2015. Mindy was born February 24, 1957 in Danville, IL the daughter of Hugh Chester Houk and Virginia Lee (Smith) Miller. She was previously married to Tony Ricketts and they have one daughter, Kayla B. Ricketts. She is preceded in death by her father, Hugh Chester Houk; her step-father, Carlton “Cotton” Miller, and her grandparents. Surviving family include her daughter, Kayla B. Ricketts, Veedersburg; her mother, Virginia Lee Miller, Veedersburg; a sister, Vanessa & Tim Priebe, Lafayette; and three step-sisters. Mindy graduated from Fountain Central High School in 1975, and had attended schooling for the travel business where she had previously been employed. She was currently employed at Ceres Solutions near Perrysville IN. She enjoyed her flowers, taking walks, traveling, especially to Florida; and shopping at garage and rummage sales. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends, the “Dirty Dozen” Funeral service will be 3:00 pm Sunday May 24, 2015 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating.
