Gerald LaBaw

Gerald LaBaw, 95, formerly of rural Veedersburg, went to be with the Lord at 2:25 am Sunday January 11, 2009 at the Waters in Covington. Gerald was born August 20, 1913 in Fountain County, IN. the son of Elmer and Della (Cronk) LaBaw. He married Effie Mae Hershberger June 30, 1935 in Hillsboro, IN. She preceded him in death May 11, 2003. He is survived by several nephews and nieces. He attended the Stone Bluff School. Gerald was a retired farmer and electrician. He farmed in the Stone Bluff area north of Veedersburg. Gerald & Effie Mae had their farm sale in 1981 after retiring. They had also lived in Sterling at one time. Gerald & Effie Mae were former members of the Christian Science Church in Attica. They later attended the Osborn Prairie Church. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Wednesday January 14, 2009 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Visitation will begin at 10:30 am Wednesday prior to the service. Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
