Steven L Rehmel

Steven L. Rehmel, 52, of Veedersburg, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday July 7, 2015 in Warren County, Indiana. Steven was born October 4, 1962 in Lafayette, Indiana the son of Rev. William E. & Rev. Mary E. (Riley) Rehmel. He married Cindy J. Doran January 21, 2000 in Vermillion County, Indiana. Surviving family includes his wife, Cindy J. Rehmel, Veedersburg; two sons, Greg (Cathleen), Cayuga IN; Andrew, West Terre Haute, IN; two daughters, Brook (Carmelo), Danville IL; Jonica, still at home in Veedersburg; a brother, Glenn (Rita) Rehmel, Veedersburg; a sister, Pamela J. Rehmel, Monticello KY; mother-in-law, Linda Sheridan, Clinton IN; nine grandchildren, Landon, Tyler, Carter, Levi, Danielle, Everett, Gabriela, Isaiah, Mylah; nieces & nephews, Crystal, J.R., Erin, Jason, Isaac, Jonathan “Andy”, Curtis. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Ruth Hayman; granddaughter, Elena; a nephew Kenneth David. Steven graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1981 and was currently employed at ThyssenKrupp Presta in Danville IL. He had attended different area churches throughout the years, and had previously been a traveling evangelist. He enjoyed his family, being in church, singing, playing his guitar, and watching old black and white movies and TV shows. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday July 11, 2015 at Veedersburg Church of God, 702 W. 2nd Street Veedersburg IN. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon Saturday at the church and continue until the time of service. Cremation will follow services. Arrangements entrusted to Dickerson Funeral Home.
