Richard Kent Denhart

Richard Kent Denhart, 77, of rural Veedersburg, passed away at his residence 8:55 pm Tuesday September 29, 2015. Richard was born October 21, 1937 in Hoopeston, IL the son of Walter H. & Elizabeth Marie (Harmeson) Denhart. He married Patricia A. Bryant August 15, 1958 at Cooper’s Chapel Church. Surviving family include his wife, Patricia A Denhart, Veedersburg; three sons, Greg (Susan) Denhart, Covington; Stephen (Monique) Denhart, Fredericksburg, VA; Don (Tracye) Denhart, Hurst, TX; two brothers, Robert (Mary) Denhart, Covington; Douglas (Jannie) Denhart, Veedersburg; six grandchildren, one step-grandchild, and six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Lee Vanegas. Richard graduated from Perrysville High School in 1955. He worked as a farmer and heavy equipment operator throughout his life. He enjoyed fishing, being on the farm, and building farm ponds with his heavy equipment. He also enjoyed riding around the countryside with his dogs Dandy & Maggie. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Sunday October 4, 2015 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg, visitation will begin at 12:00 noon Sunday and continue until the time of service.
