Rosemary "Rosie" Covault

Rosemary “Rosie” Covault, 89, of Stone Bluff IN, passed away 4:35 pm Friday December 11, 2015 at St Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Mrs. Covault was born June 26, 1926 in Mellott IN the daughter of John W. and Anna (Wakeland) Ehrie. She married John W. Covault January 20, 1942; he preceded her in death October 6, 1997. She is also preceded in death by two sons, Greg Covault , Fred (Diane) Covault; two sons in laws, Billy Cox, Brad Johnson; five brothers, and three sisters. Surviving family include three sons, John (Fran) Covault, Wallace; Kenny “Dusty” Covault, Tucumcari NM; Don (Sue) Covault, Brooksville FL; two daughters, Marilyn Cox, Veedersburg; Katie Johnson, Attica; a daughter in law, Karen Covault, Covington; five sisters, Pat Dixon, Crawfordsville; Judy (Dick) Harshbargar, New Richmond IN; Norma Kincaid, Crawfordsville; Shirley (Charlie) Keaton, NC; Martha (Sid) Shanks, Villa Grove IL; two brothers, Jack (Eva) Ehrie, Lafayette; Billy (Molly) Ehrie, Treasure Island CA; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Rosie retired from the Commercial News after delivering papers for 22 years. In her younger years she enjoyed picking blackberries and had been know as the Blackberry Beauty around Veedersburg. She enjoyed country music, and especially enjoyed listening to her son John sing and the Highway 341 Band. More than anything she loved and enjoyed her family. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday December 17, 2015 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Dorman Winger officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday December 16, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow service at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro. Online condolences at www.dickersonfuneralhome.com
