Dorothy E Lightle

Dorothy E. Lightle, 93, of Veedersburg, passed away 11:30 AM Sunday May 29, 2016 at Williamsport Nursing and Rehabilitation in Williamsport, Indiana. Mrs. Lightle was born February 17, 1923 in Attica Indiana the daughter of John S. and Eva Lee (Farris) Froedge. Surviving family include a son, Roger Lightle, Veedersburg; a brother, Davis “Pete” Froedge, Veedersburg; daughter-in-law, Nancy Lightle, Rosedale, IN; four grandchildren, Derek Lightle, Kevin Lightle, Ty (Mandi) Lightle, Lana (Doug) Walton; two great-grandchildren, Lindsey Reed, Kenli Walton; two step great-grandchildren, Bryson Scott, Bailey Scott; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a son Richard Lightle; three brothers, James, Dewey & Raymond Froedge; and a sister, Marjorie Hughes. Dorothy was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Crawfordsville. Earlier in life she had been employed at RR Donnelly’s, retiring from there in the mid 1980’s. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Friday June 3, 2016 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Dave Sims officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home and continue until the time of service. Burial will follow service at Osborn Prairie Cemetery.
