Susie L. Carr Lindquist

Susie L. Carr Lindquist, 87, of Veedersburg, passed away 7:35 AM Friday March 10, 2017 at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. Susie was born February 22, 1930 in Veedersburg Indiana the daughter of Dempsey T. and Bessie Elizabeth (Payton) Carr. She married Francis Dean “Pat” Lindquist November 20, 1945 in Sterling, Indiana. Surviving family include two sons, Leroy (Becky) Lindquist, Veedersburg; Randy (Brenda) Lindquist, Covington; a daughter, Katha Lindquist, Veedersburg; seven grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, fourteen great-great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren on the way. She is preceded in death by her husband; six brothers, Paul, Jodie, Cyril, Amos, Leroy, Max Carr; two sisters, Flo Wilson, Viv Mullen; and an infant brother Hansel Carr. Susie had been employed as a cook at the Veedersburg Grade School and for twenty years at Payton’s Grocery Store. She was former member of the Illiana Ex Prisoners of War, where she held many offices over the years. She enjoyed gardening. She loved her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking and large family gatherings. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday March 14, 2017 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Daneen Rodriguez officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM Tuesday and continue until the time of service. Burial will follow service at Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg. Online condolences at www.dickersonfuneralhome.com
