Christy René Ballah

Christy René Ballah, 68, of Veedersburg, passed away 6:19 AM Wednesday July 26, 2017 at St Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. She was born July 21, 1949 in Danville, Illinois the daughter of Harold Robert “Bob” and Irma Faye (Harris) Ballah. They have preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by an infant son, Kyle Anthony. Christy and Arthur W. DePugh were married and had four sons who survive, Tim (Dawn) DePugh, Robb (Teresa) DePugh, Josh DePugh, and Nik (Kate) DePugh all of Veedersburg. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Nate, Nash, Tyler, Taryn, Vaughn, Emma, London, Katelyn, David, and Ellie DePugh; one sister Karoylee (Mike) Borst, Waynetown IN; her extra (bonus) sons Kevin Minick and Andrew Shropshire; and her life-long best friend Nelda Hollingshead. Christy graduated from Fountain Central High School in 1967. She attended Sterling Christian Church in Veedersburg. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved watching her grandsons play football. Christy enjoyed and loved her family with all her heart, especially her four boys. She loved going on vacations or outings with her best friend Nelda. If you had seen Nelda or Christy, you had seen the other one not far behind. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday July 29, 2017 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 PM Friday July 28, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at Mt Hope Cemetery in Covington.
