Carl William "Bill" Dice

Carl William “Bill” Dice, 82, of Veedersburg, died 8:16 am Friday October 9, 2009 at St. Vincent Hospital in Williamsport, Indiana. He was born January 20, 1927 in Veedersburg the son of Joseph T. and Bertha (Rogers) Dice. He married Eleanor J. Howard October 17, 1947 in Veedersburg, she survives. Surviving family also includes his son, Steven C. Dice, Covington; daughter, Debbie Bell (husband, Darryl), Veedersburg, sister Dorothy Dice, Veedersburg; four grandchildren, Casey Jumps, Mark Dice, Jed Bell, Micah Bell, and six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Bill graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1945, and he served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was employed for 31 years at Raybestos in Crawfordsville, retiring in 1982. He was member of the Sterling Christian Church and American Legion Post #288. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday October 13, 2009 at Sterling Christian Church in Veedersburg with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Rockfield Cemetery. Visitation is 5:00 – 8:00 pm Monday October 12, 2009 at Sterling Christian Church. Family request memorial contributions be made to Ronald McDonald House.
