Deloris M. York

Veedersburg - Deloris M. York, 83, formerly of Veedersburg, died 3:45 am Wednesday January 6, 2010 at the Waters of Williamsport. Mrs. York was born February 9, 1926 in Danville, IL. the daughter of William D. and Lacy (Higgs) Smith. She married Robert L. York June 27, 1942 in Newport, IN. He has preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. Surviving family include two sons, Larry (Beth) York, West Point, IN; Robert D. York, Veedersburg; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Deloris had been a resident of Veedersburg since 1942 and was previously employed there at Marshall Studios. Funeral service will be 7:00 pm Saturday January 9, 2010 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 pm Saturday January 9, 2010 at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Kingman Fraternal Cemetery on a later date.
