Harold David Williams

June 14, 1945 — February 7, 2010

Harold David “Dave” Williams 64, of Veedersburg, passed this life 12:16 pm Sunday February 7, 2010 at his residence with his family at his side. He was born June 14, 1945 in Crawfordsville, IN the son of Harold E. and Jeanne (Marquess) Williams. Surviving family include his parents, two daughters, Sasha (Silas) Query, Kingman; Darci Davis, Veedersburg; a son Nick (Breanna) Williams, Veedersburg; two sisters, Sherry (Richard) Harris, Crawfordsville; Donna Warren, Crawfordsville; a brother Brian (Diana) Williams, Crawfordsville; a long time companion Helen Fenters who has spent 9 years by his side. Special children Erica Fenters, Andy Fenters, Ashley Fenters, Aaron Fenters, and Valerie (Fenters) Runion; nine grandchildren, Baylee Rush, Megan Query, Mason Query, Cash Davis, Cheyenne Runion, Sydney Runion, Sierra Runion, Danica Stotts, and Olan Fenters. Mr. Williams served his country in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division and the Indiana National Guard. He was employed by General Motors Corporation in Tilton, IL for 22 years before his retirement in 1995. He was a 1963 graduate of Delphi High School. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed nature, travel, numerous outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, hiking, gardening, camping, and cooking out. He was very involved in his children’s daily lives and took great pride in his role as “Grandpa Dave”. His life lessons and zest for life will continue to impact their lives. Dave’s love, friendship, humor, and kindness will be missed by Helen, family, and the many friends he gained on his journey through life. Visit with Dave’s family as they celebrate his life 3:00 to 7:00 pm Friday February12, 2010 at the Sterling Christian Church in Veedersburg. Memorial service will begin 7:00 pm Friday at the church with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Military honors will be given at the service.
