Betty J. (Bridges) Lightle

Betty J. (Bridges) Lightle, age 71, of Veedersburg, passed away 8:53 am August 10, 2010 at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. She was born December 17, 1938 in Crawfordsville, IN the daughter of Franklin and Marcella (Myers) Bridges. She married Gary L. Lightle September 3, 1966 in Veedersburg, Indiana. He survives. Surviving along with her husband is a son Gary L. (Teresa) Lightle Jr., Veedersburg; three daughters, Kelley (Gary) Peacock, Crawfordsville; Colleen Lightle, Terre Haute; Marcia Dawn (Daniel) Yochum, Bicknell, IN; four sisters, Sara Bridges, Greencastle, IN; Arlene Bridges, Greencastle, IN; Marlene (Phillip) Everman, Roachdale, IN; Bertha (Steven) Littrell, Avon, IN; and ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Betty graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1957. She had been employed at Old National Bank in Covington for 25 years and two years at the Veedersburg Bank. She had also owned and operated an upholstery business. She was a member of the Veedersburg United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held at the Veedersburg United Methodist Church on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev.s Richard Throckmorton and Matt Swisher officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Veedersburg United Methodist Church 108 E 3rd Street, Veedersburg, IN 47987.
