Roberta Jo “Robbie” (Powell) Brown, 28, of Veedersburg, died 2:00 pm Sunday September 5, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. She was born October 3, 1981 in Danville, Illinois the daughter of Carl W. and JoAnn (McAllister) Powell. Surviving family includes her parents Carl & JoAnn Powell, Veedersburg; son, Dakota G. Booe and daughter Taylor J. Brown, both at home; three brothers, Wayne (Marsha) Powell, Gene (Deanna) Powell, and Richard (Mary) Powell, all of Veedersburg; two sisters, Valarie (Terry) England, Danville, IL; Nancy Richardson, Bismark, IL; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces & nephews. Robbie was an accomplished singer and she loved to sing and entertain people. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday September 8, 2010 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Paul Kent officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and continue until the time of service on Wednesday. Interment will be at Bonebrake Cemetery in Veedersburg at a later date.
