Carolyn Sue “Sue” Weaver Woodrow, age 82, of rural Covington passed away at 12:55 PM Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at The Waters of Covington in Covington, Indiana.
She enjoyed various jobs in Fountain County: Baxter’s Drug Store, Mike’s Colonial Parkway, Wabash Valley Flower Shop, The Green Thumb, Covington High School, The Sundae Shop, etc. She also was a devoted mother and housewife.
She was born November 1, 1940, the daughter of the late Johnny and Esther Weaver. She married Rex Woodrow of Covington.
Survivors are two sons: Greg of rural Covington and Marvin (Carol Watson) of Crawfordsville. Also surviving are grandchildren: Luke Woodrow and Maddie Rice of Covington, Chloe (Ethan) McKinney of Terre Haute, Haley (Shane) Payton and Aubrey Woodrow of Lebanon, two great grandchildren Tenley and Beckett Payton, sister Coletta Chapman, brother-in-law Max (Mary Kay) Woodrow and sister-in-law Pam Abernathy along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter-in-law Jessica Woodrow, siblings Julie Keller, Linda Ratcliff, and Jackie Dean Ellison, and brothers-in-law Jeff Chapman and Gary Abernathy.
Sue enjoyed antiquing, dinners at Benjamin’s, working in her yard, and touring Fountain County in her Impala with a 32 ounce fountain Pepsi or her green Tupperware tea glass. She enjoyed keeping a clean house with spotless windows, and she prided herself on her honesty and “wore it like a badge.”
Plans for a Celebration of Life are pending with burial at Coal Creek Cemetery.
