Clifford Steven Moore, 81, of Veedersburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 4:10 PM Sunday September 3, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Clifford was born January 6, 1942 to Alfred “Doc” and Bertha Moore in Sidell, IL. He was the fifth child out of six boys and one girl. He was a US Army Veteran who served in the Cuban Crisis 1961-1964, and was member of the American Legion Post #288 in Veedersburg.  He was a retired truck driver who drove for Holland and PIE out of Danville IL.

He was a strong man of faith so we know we will see him again. He was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Covington.

He was also a loving Father and a hard working loyal family man. He loved sitting on the porch with neighbors and going to Florida for the winter. But most of all he loved his kids, grandkids, great grandkids and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Darlene Stucker, three brothers, Paul, Terry, Al; a daughter Christy, and a son Rodney.

He married the love of his life Melba Lewis and they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary Wednesday August 30th.
