David William Butts

David William Butts, 71, of Veedersburg, passed away 11:55 PM Monday October 4, 2021 at Lane House in Crawfordsville, Indiana.

David was born December 23, 1949 in Crawfordsville, Indiana the son of Carl Philip and Beverly Jane (Drollinger) Butts. They have preceded him in death.

Surviving family include two sons, Jeffrey William (Kim) Butts, Veedersburg; John Phillip Butts, Veedersburg; a daughter, Carla Marie (Jason) Adams, Oakwood, IL; a brother, James Philip (Rita) Butts, Avon, IN; a sister, Edith Ellen (Walter) Benefield, Greenwood, IN; and seven grandchildren.

David graduated from Fountain Central High School in 1967. He had been attending the Church of God’s Love at Osborn Prairie, and he had been employed for many years as a mechanic at International Paper in Newport prior to his retirement. David had also enjoyed working and living on the family farm near Veedersburg.

Visitation will be 11:00 – 1:00 Saturday October 9, 2021 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Funeral service will begin at 1:00PM Saturday with Pastor Chester Goins officiating. Burial will be at Rockfield Cemetery. Online condolences at www.dickersonfuneralhome.com
