Dorothy M Dice

Dorothy “Dort” M. Dice, 97, of Veedersburg, passed away 11:40 AM Sunday March 1, 2020 at Brownsburg Meadows Health Care in Brownsburg, Indiana.

Dorothy was born August 1, 1922 in Veedersburg the daughter of Joe and Bertha M. (Rogers) Dice.

She is preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Dorothy graduated from Veedersburg High School. She had been employed as the Town Clerk in Veedersburg, and also as secretary at the Farm Bureau CO-OP in Veedersburg.  Dorothy won several  consecutive elections to maintain a lengthy career as Town Clerk.  

Dorothy loved the small town of Veedersburg, or as she would often say, "Sterling".  Some of her favorite things were long summer walks or bike rides, going to the Tasty Freeze with family and watching the great shows of the 80's such as The Love Boat, Fantasy Island and Dallas.  Dorothy was always one for a good crossword puzzle or talking history of Veedersburg.  

Surviving family include several nieces and nephews.  

Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM Thursday March 5, 2020 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home and continue until the time of service at 1:00. Burial will be at Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg.
