Gerald Franklin Grimes

Gerald Franklin “Frank” Grimes, 69, of Crawfordsville, passed away 4:35PM Tuesday July 7, 2020 at Ben Hur Health & Rehab in Crawfordsville, IN.

Frank was born February 10, 1951 in Tillamook, OR the son of Robert Gene & Eloise Grimes Sr.

He is preceded in death by a son, Daniel Trent Grimes;  his parents Robert & Eloise, his adoptive mother Anna Lucille (Smith) Grimes; two brothers, Robert Gene Grimes Jr., Roger Dale Smith, a sister Lisa Lou Grimes.

Surviving family include a daughter, Tamera (Raydal) Omundson, Bloomingdale IN; two sons Franklin Dean (Rebecca Elaine) Grimes, Tangier IN, Travis Franklin Grimes, Crawfordsville IN; four brothers, Rick Grimes, McKinley CA; Dennis (Nancy) Grimes, Longview TX; Scott Grimes, Hillsboro IN; James Frey , Cleveland OH; three sisters, Marlene K Grimes, Crawfordsville IN; Denise (Dennis) Starkey, Covington IN; Robin (Tim) Grimes-Howard, Aubrey TX; three grandchildren, Brandon Omundson, Levi Omundson, Clayton James Crowder; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Frank enjoyed being outdoors hunting ginseng and mushrooms, and he enjoyed fishing in nearby rivers and Sugar Creek. He also loved and enjoyed his family very much. Faith in God had also become very important to Frank recently in his life.

Dickerson Funeral Home is assisting the family, and per Franks request there will be no public services.
