Indiana Cook

Indiana Cook, 106, of Veedersburg IN, passed away 8:34 AM Monday September 9, 2019 at St Vincent Hospital in Williamsport, Indiana.

Indiana was born March 18, 1913 in Jefferson County Indiana near Hanover, the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Margaret Lillian (Gill) Smith. She married Marion Cook January 10, 1951 in Sterling, Indiana; he preceded her in death March 24, 2014.

She is also preceded in death by three brothers and seven sisters.

Surviving family include many nieces and nephews; including two special nieces & caregivers Holly Frazier, and Clara Kidwell both of Veedersburg.

In her earlier years she had been a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church in Jefferson County Indiana. After moving to Veedersburg in 1950 she had worked from home as a seamstress, doing alterations for many local people both on clothing and drapes. She had also made many quilts during her lifetime.

Funeral service will be 6:00 PM Friday September 13, 2019 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg IN with Pastor David Inskeep officiating; Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM Friday and continue until the time of service. Burial with graveside service will be 2:00 PM Saturday September 14, 2019 at New Prospect Cemetery near Hanover, IN with Pastor Leonard Thorpe officiating.
