Janet Doris Flint

Janet Doris Flint, 79, of Veedersburg, passed away 8:00 AM Tuesday September 3, 2019 at IU Health West in Avon, IN.

She was born July 12, 1940 in Kingman, IN the daughter of Lee A. and Naomi (Pollard) Dunivan. They have preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her oldest son James Richard Hughes III; a brother Leslie; and two sisters, Edith Metz and Marjorie Lucille Dunivan.

Janet was first married to Jim Hughes, together they had three sons, Jim, Scott, and Todd; they later parted but remained good friends; he survives. She later married Alan Flint, and he preceded her in death.

Surviving family include two sons, Scott (Amanda) Hughes, Platt City Mo; Todd (Penny) Hughes, Veedersburg;  a brother, Hubert (Anne) Dunivan, Whitestown IN; two sisters, Carole Goodwin, and Linda Keeling, both of Plainfield IN; nine grandchildren, Corey James (Anna) Hughes, Kendall (Nune) Perez, Adam, Andrew, Miranda, Dylan, Tatum, Emrey, and Caelan Hughes; four great-grandchildren, Phoenix and Jaxon Perez, Kynsley Hughes, Jim Richard Hughes IV; and step-daughters Kathie Armstrong and Karen Jenkins.

Janet graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1958. She had retired from Tee Pak in Danville IL after many years of employment. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; and she enjoyed her little dog Bernie.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday September 7, 2019 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Greg McDonald officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM Saturday and continue until the time of service. Resting place will be Thomas Cemetery near Newport, IN.
