Jeffrey Robert Olmstead

Jeffrey Robert Olmstead, 62, of Veedersburg, passed away 3:25 PM Monday August 27, 2018 at Franciscan St Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. Jeff was born May 21, 1956 in Danville, Illinois the son of Robert Eugene and Doris Jean (Clift) Olmstead. He married Donna A. Bowman March 15, 2002. Surviving family include his wife, Donna A. Olmstead, Veedersburg; a son Dakota Olmstead, Lawrenceburg, KY; a nephew Chris Dunning, two nieces, Paula Dunning, Tonya Dunning, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Vicki Lynn Dunning, and a nephew Chad Jeffrey Dunning. Jeff graduated from Fountain Central High School in 1974. He had been employed as a mechanic for many years. For over 20 years he lived near Lawrenceburg KY where he was employed as a mechanic; after moving back to Veedersburg he was employed at Discount Tire & Lube in Sterling, and most recently he had owned and operated Hometown Service in Veedersburg.  He was a member of the Sterling Christian Church. Memorial service will be 11:00 AM Saturday September 1, 2018 at Sterling Christian Church 701 S. Sterling Ave Veedersburg  IN 47987 with Pastor Dave Sims officiating.
