Jerry Dean "Jake" Cowan

Jerry Dean “Jake” Cowan, 79, of Veedersburg, passed away 4:55 AM (CDT) Wednesday October 30, 2019 at VA Illiana Health Care in Danville, Illinois.

Jake was born January 22, 1940 in Veedersburg the son of Emory Milton and Esther Pauline (Clift) Cowan.

He is survived by a niece and nephew and several great-nieces and great-nephews; and was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings.

Jake graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1958; after high school in served his country in the US Army. Earlier in his life he had been employed by Mitchell Construction in Veedersburg, and he had more recently been employed by Fountain County Highway Department prior to his retirement.

Per Jake’s request there will be no public services; he will be cremated and buried at Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg.
