John David Tornquist, 90, of Attica, IN. died Friday, September 5, 2025.
John was born in Danville, IL. on September 12, 1934 to Oscar and Vera (Kilby) Tornquist.
On November 24, 1954 he was united in marriage to Inez Lorene Babb in Covington IN. They would celebrate 52 years of marriage before her death April 6, 2007.
He is survived by daughter Debra (Seyyed) Hassani; son, Scott (Carla) Tornquist; granddaughters, Amelia (Lee) Hassani-Goldin, Hillary Hassani, and Megan (Jeremy)Eisele; grandson, Nicholas (Alexis) Tornquist; five great grandchildren, Avalynn, Brynlie, Abram, Guy and Maxine; sister, Nancy (Duane) Shumaker; sister-in-law, Eileen Smock; and many nieces and nephews.
John was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Covington, IN.
