Judith Ann Keeling

Judith Ann “Judy” Keeling, 77, of Veedersburg, IN; passed away 7:13 PM Thursday March 30, 2023 at Franciscan Health East in Lafayette, IN.

Judy was born June 14, 1945 in Danville, IL the daughter of Millard F. and Grace Elizabeth (Bowman) Cates. She married Hardy R. Keeling October 21, 1966 in Covington, IN. Her husband and parents have preceded her in death.

Surviving family include two sons, James (Terri) Keeling, Butler, PA; Rodney Keeling, Attica, IN; four step-children, all of whom she loved as her very own; Cindy Franklin, Hillsboro, IN; Jeffrey (Linda) Keeling, Winterville, NC; Brian (Charlene) Keeling, Attica, IN; Steven (Kim) Keeling, Waynetown, IN; a brother, Steve (Deb) Cates, Veedersburg, IN; four grandchildren, Kyler, Ashlie, Dylan, & Katie; nine step-grandchildren,  and several great-grandchildren.

Judy graduated from Fountain Central High School in 1965. Throughout her life she had been employed as parts clerk at the State Highway Garage in Veedersburg, Donnelly & Master Guard for a short time, and Blue Cross Blue Shield in Danville, IL prior to her retirement.  

Judy was a very active and faithful member of The Church of God in Veedersburg; where she loved to help with the food pantry. She had enjoyed camping at Sugar Mill Lake for many years; she also loved her dogs Bella & Eve. More than anything she loved and enjoyed her family; most especially she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday April 4, 2023 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Funeral will be 11:00 AM Wednesday April 5, 2023 at Dickerson Funeral Home with Pastor Virgil Moss officiating. Burial will be at Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg.
