Mrs. Karen Lee Nine, 82 of Veedersburg, Indiana passed away at her residence on Wednesday evening, April 8th 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Karen was born on August 5th, 1943 in Angola, Indiana and was the daughter of Robert H. Kingery and Ruth J. (Ford) Kingery. She grew up in Indiana and eventually earned her GED from Fountain Central High School.
She met the love of her life, Archie Nine and they were married on July 8th, 1961 in Waynetown. Indiana. Karen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was an avid church goer as a member of the Community Bible Baptist Church, and she enjoyed going out and spending time with Archie, to include traveling to Alaska and Hawaii, and she loved the ocean and the beach.
Karen is survived by her husband Archie, daughter Donna Brittain of Hillsboro, Indiana, son Joe (Bethanne) Nine of Veedersburg, Indiana, daughter Mary Beth Boyd of West Lafayette, Indiana, 7 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister Marty Joeleana of Crawfordsville, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Joyce Fletcher and brother James Kingery; great-grandson Nicholas Blackford, son in law Mark Boyd, and daughter Lauralee Boyd.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026 at the Community Bible Baptist Church, 714 E. Division Road, Veedersburg, Indiana from 11:00AM until 1:00PM, with a funeral service at 1:00PM followed by a private burial. Karen’s family respectfully requests that flowers are welcome, and/or donations made directly to the Community Bible Baptist Church.
