Kim Hila West, 69, a Cherished resident of The Waters in Covington, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on January 22, 1957, in Danville, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Leiton West and Glenda Kilgore West. Kim grew up in Cayuga and graduated from North Vermillion High School in 1975 and worked at West's Grocery Store for several years with her family.

Kim was a dedicated cashier at her family's grocery store and was known for her commitment and diligence in her work. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, and making many different types of crafts.

Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Leiton and Glenda West.  She is survived by her brother, Bruce (Loretta) West, her niece, Kylee Hohenstein, and her great nephew and niece, Bexley and Ellery.

Kim was laid to rest next to her parents in Thomas Cemetery, Newport, Indiana.
