Lorene Isabell Riley

Lorene Isabell Riley, 94, of Covington, passed away 3:24 AM Friday November 12, 2021 at the Waters of Covington.

Lorene was born December 12, 1926 in Kingman, Indiana the daughter of Cleveland and Jessie (Miller) Allen. She married Lowell Matthew Riley April 3, 1945 and he preceded her in death July 16, 2001.

She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Schuyler Allen, Sherman Allen; and a sister Lois Dillon.

Surviving family include five sons, Bruce Alan (Lila Sue) Riley, Rolla, MO; Ronald Joseph (Martha) Riley, Covington; Lowell Daniel “Dan” (Debra) Riley, Covington; Brian Scott Riley, Veedersburg; Timothy Michael (April) Riley, Crawfordsville; a daughter, Linda Carol (Kenny) Busenbark, Kingman; two sisters, Oveta (Norman) Clem, Covington; Patricia (Al) Gritten, Danville, IL; fifteen grandchildren, Anna Vroman, Matthew Riley, Amy Sue Roberts, Lucas Riley, April Riley , Stephanie Daniel , Jennifer Riley, Justin Riley, Marcus Riley, Michael Riley, Tyler Busenbark, Deanna Smith, Lakyn Riley, Dylan Riley, Brook Riley; and 28 great-grandchildren.

Lorene graduated from Kingman High School in 1944, and had been a long-time member of Centennial Community Church near Kingman. She had lived most of her life on the family farm where she enjoyed raising her family. She was a true farm wife, and always enjoyed riding around the countryside looking at the crops. While living on the farm she and Lowell had enjoyed getting together with their friends and neighbors to play euchre.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday November 19, 2021 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Father Rasner officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Friday and continue until the time of Funeral service. Burial will be at Centennial Cemetery near Kingman. Online condolences at www.dickersonfuneralhome.com
