Mark Allen Haymaker, age 58 of Veedersburg, IN, passed away at 8:40 p.m. on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Franciscan Health. Mark was born on August 20, 1964 in Indianapolis, IN. He was the son of Ira P. “Bill” and Vonda G. (Waller) Haymaker. Mark lived in Veedersburg for most of his life. He was a graduate of Fountain Central High School and held multiple certifications in welding and plumbing. Mark married Lisa Louise Preeman on March 8, 2002 in Fountain County and she survives. Mark worked at B.P. in Whiting, IN for many years. He later worked as a welder and fabricator at Gillum Machine and Tool. Mark was a member of the F. & A.M. Hillsboro Lodge #385. Mark attended Grace of God Fellowship in Kingman, IN. He enjoyed his time as a foster parent. Mark loved fishing, hunting, cooking, and working in his flower garden. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers and his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Mark strongly supported Second Amendment rights and loved his guns. He collected many things, including coins, baseball cards, and cigars. Mark was an organ donor and his legacy will continue through his donation. Surviving with his wife, Lisa, are: 5 children, Amber Haymaker of Veedersburg, IN, Mark Allen Haymaker II of Veedersburg, IN, Robbie Sexton (Char) of New Market, IN, Joseph Sexton (Dakota) of Lafayette, IN, and Amanda Nelson (Grover) of Onida, TN; 8 grandchildren, Alexis Sexton, Mackenzie Sexton, Lila Sexton, Evan Sexton, Emily Sexton, Remi Sexton, RaeAnn Nelson, and Gabriel Nelson; 4 siblings, Joseph L. Haymaker of Covington, IN, Dena Hinote of Crawfordsville, IN, Terry P. Haymaker (Brenda) of Lafayette, IN, and Tony D. Haymaker (Cathy) of Lafayette, IN Mark was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Robert L. Haymaker. Visitation will be at Dickerson Funeral Home on Sunday, July 30, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until masonic services at 3:00 p.m. Funeral service will follow with Pastor Tim Lyons officiating. Interment will follow at Rockfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
