Norma Jean Strean

Norma Jean Strean, 94, of Veedersburg, passed away 12:00 PM Monday October 5, 2020 at the Waters in Covington, IN

Norma was born March 22, 1926 in Kingman, IN the daughter of Leslie W. and Mabel (Drake) Adkins. She married James L. Strean November 23, 1948 in Veedersburg, IN and he preceded her in death September 24, 2003.

She is also preceded in death by a son Michael, and sister-in-law Margie Adkins.

Surviving family include a daughter, Cindy (Brian) McGuire, Batavia OH; a brother, James Adkins, Lafayette IN; a granddaughter, Erin (Matthew) Kingsley, Fort Thomas KY; and great-grandsons, Owen and Benjamin Kingsley.

Norma graduated from Kingman High School in 1944. She was a member of the Veedersburg United Methodist Church; where she was a member of the United Methodist Women’s Group and the church choir.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Saturday October 10, 2020 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Graveside service will be 11:30 AM Saturday October 10, 2020 at Mt Hope Cemetery in Covington.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Veedersburg United Methodist Church.
