Rena (Hoogeveen) Bush

Rena (Hoogeveen) Bush, age 92 of Veedersburg, IN, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the Lane House in Crawfordsville.

Rena was born on October 29, 1931 in Witmarsum, Netherlands. She was the daughter of Berendt Hoogeveen and Hittje (Steensma) Hoogeveen. Rena married James L. Bush on August 20, 1954. He preceded her in death on January 27, 2000.

Rena was a dedicated homemaker and she enjoyed needlepoint and crocheting.

Surviving are:

2 children, Alice Barnette of Veedersburg, IN, and Benjamin Bush of Veedersburg, IN;

2 sisters, Tina Wines of Lebanon, IN and Alice Wines of Lebanon, IN;

8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren

Rena was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Helen Fenters; 3 brothers, Wietze Hoogeveen, Garret Hoogeveen, and Libbe Hoogeveen; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Dickerson Funeral Home on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 10:00 AM until service time at 12:00 PM with Pastor Greg McDonald officiating. Inurnment will follow at Cold Spring Cemetery in Veedersburg.
