Richard L. Craig

Richard Lee Craig, age 86, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025, in Newport, Indiana. Born on November 5, 1938, in Veedersburg, Indiana, he lived a long and meaningful life rooted in family and community.

Richard was married to Patricia Ann Craig who proceeded him in death. Together they built a life filled with love and devotion that spanned decades. He was a cherished father to five children: Rebecca and Tommy Dershem of Greenville, Ohio; Richard (Rick) and Lauren Craig of Anderson, Indiana; David Craig of Plainfield, Indiana; Patricia (Elaine) and Joseph Tiller of Union City, Ohio; and Awona and Robert (Bob) Walker of Veedersburg, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Craig and Gladys Campbell, his son-in-law Jimmie Tiller, and 3 grandchildren, Jenifer Craig, Brandon, Craig, and Howard Dershem

His legacy lives on through his extensive family. He was a proud grandfather to 16 grandchildren. His love extended to 32 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.
