Richard L Garrigus

Richard L. Garrigus, 75, formerly of Oxford and originally from Veedersburg, passed away 7:12 AM Sunday December 15, 2019 at the Waters in Covington, IN.

He was born May 28, 1944 in Decatur, IL the son of Robert Henry and Gwendolyn Jackson Garrigus. They have preceded him in death; he is also preceded in death by a sister Patricia Ann Berchem, and a granddaughter Kayla Amos.

Richard served his country in the US Army, and was stationed in Germany during his enlistment. He was employed for many years with McKinney Farm Drainage. He had a great love for animals, especially dogs; he had many special dogs throughout his life, in the past few years it had been Dakota, who recently passed. Richard had formerly been married to Myretta Cox Garrigus and they were blessed with one daughter.

Surviving family include one daughter, Marsone “Marcie” (Ty) Bowling, Covington; and two great-grandchildren, Kendra Amos & Kaysen Amos.
