Richard "Richie" Jeffrey Krout

Richard Jeffrey “Richie” Krout, age 43 of Veedersburg, IN, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022. Richie was born on July 30, 1979 in Crawfordsville, IN. He was the son of Jeff Krout and Christy (Ingalsbe) Blankenship and step-father Ralph Blankenship. Richie was a lifelong resident of Veedersburg. He was a 1997 graduate of Southmont High School. Richie worked as a press operator at R.R. Donnelley in Crawfordsville. Richie especially enjoyed watching his children play sports. He enjoyed hunting, especially deer hunting and mushrooming. He was a St. Louis Cardinals and IU fan. Richie also enjoyed watching NASCAR racing. Surviving are, Father, Jeff Krout of Veedersburg, IN; Mother and step-father, Christy and Ralph Blankenship of Veedersburg, IN; Biological child Chloe Golia, and 2 sons, Jacob Andrew Krout and Brayden William Krout of Veedersburg, IN; Brother, Jason Blankenship (wife: Sheena) of Veedersburg, IN; Maternal grandmother, Lois Ingalsbe (late Gale) of Veedersburg, IN; Nephews and niece, Alan, Austin, and Audrey Blankenship; Uncle and Aunt, Bill and Diane Ingalsbe of Veedersburg, IN; Aunt, Kelly Kirby of Veedersburg, IN, Aunt and Uncle Melissa Henry (Dave) of Westville, IL, Cousins, Brandon Ingalsbe of Veedersburg, IN; Ashlynn Howell (Bradley) of Veedersburg, IN; Numerous loving Blankenship family members Richie was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rusty and Penny Krout; Maternal Grandfather Gale Ingalsbe 2 uncles, Kevin Krout and Brian Krout. Visitation will be at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 3:00 until service time at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike McCollum officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Dickerson Funeral Home to offset funeral expenses.
