Robert "Bob" McLean

Robert “Bob” McLean, age 89 of Veedersburg, IN passed away at 11:25 a.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at his residence.

Bob was born on December 15, 1930 in Stone Bluff, IN. He was the son of Grady and Marie (Marlatt) McLean. Bob was raised in Stone Bluff and has resided in Veedersburg since 1956. He was a graduate of Veedersburg High School and attended Wabash College until he was drafted in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany during World War II. Bob married Donna Caroline Mitchell in 1956 in Veedersburg, IN and she preceded him in death on October 21, 2000. He married Corenia Wright in 2003 in Nashville, IN and she preceded him in death on October 10, 2015.

Bob worked at Olin Corporation as a machinist for several years. He later worked at Flexel as a maintenance supervisor until his retirement at the age of 62. Bob also was an appliance repairman for many years.

Bob was a member of the First Christian Church in Veedersburg. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #288 and Masonic Lodge #491. Bob enjoyed golfing, traveling, and camping. He also enjoyed playing bridge with Bill and Doris Boone. Bob especially loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are,

3 daughters, Angela Grubb (husband: Robert) of Newtown, IN, Crystal Brewer (husband: David) of Waynetown, IN, and Shannon Stanley (husband: Dale) of Valparaiso, IN;

6 grandchildren, Jeannette Toler, Brandy Walls, Erin Heffner, Ashley Grubb, Kristin Vela, and Dr. Kelly Stanley;

11 great-grandchildren;

Special friend, Jan Beanblossom of Zionsville, IN

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna; wife, Corenia; and siblings, Annabelle Wilson, Chet McLean, Helen Ann Foxworthy, and Jack McLean.

Visitation will be on Sunday, November 8, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until Masonic Service time at 3:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Veedersburg. Funeral service with full military honors to follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Garland Pannell officiating. Interment will be at Osborn Prairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church.
