Tim Hinote, 73 of Rockville, Indiana, passed away at his residence on Wednesday morning, March 19th, 2026.

He was born on October 7th, 1952 and was the 8th out of 9 children to Edward Theo Hinote Sr. and Gwendolyn (McCown) Hinote. Tim grew up in Cates, Indiana and attended Covington High School, later earning his GED through that school.

Tim was an automotive mechanic and owned and operated A to Z Mobile Diagnostics in Danville, Illinois for several years. After closing his business, Tim “semi-retired”, earning his Commercial Driving License and drove the Amish community of Parke County around for several years. Tim really enjoyed this “work” and forged several friendships with those he drove. He also enjoyed woodworking, and was a devout Christian. He married Tammy Ann Harris on April 25th, 2009 and they enjoyed 17 loving years together.

Tim is survived by his wife Tammy, daughter Tara (Terry) Gayheart, son Aden (Elliott) Hinote, step-daughter Rachel (Justin) Davis, sister Paquita (Sid) Wells, niece Angie Hinote, grandchildren Amber Liffick, Jarrod Gayheart, Abbagael Gayheart, Connor Gayheart and Leo Davis, and great-grandchildren Destiny Liffick, Ethan Liffick, Jayce Liffick and Jadyn Liffick.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Edward Theo Hinote Jr, Larry Hinote, George Everette Hinote, Thomas J. Hinote, Steve Hinote and sisters Carmelita Anders and DeAdra Hinote.

A visitation will be held at Dickerson Funeral Home, 303 N. Main Street in Veedersburg, Indiana on Wednesday, March 25th from 10AM until 12PM followed by a funeral service at noon. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery in Montezuma, Indiana.
